The sixth annual Don Schneider Memorial 5K Challenge Run will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, and is part of the college's SNC Day activities. The 5k race is open to all ages. The race will start and end on campus in front of the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center at 601 Third Street in De Pere.
Registration is $15 and runners will receive a commemorative long-sleeved T-shirt. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division.
The late Don Schneider was a longtime trustee, adjunct professor and generous friend of St. Norbert College, as well as an avid runner. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Don Schneider Memorial Scholarship at St. Norbert College. Food and refreshments will be available in the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center for runners after the race.
SNC Day is a campus "open house" held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Race participants can stay and enjoy boat rides on the Fox River, three stages of entertainment, food, loads of children's activities, mini-lectures by St. Norbert faculty, tours and fitness activities at the new Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center, wellness activities, trolley rides, horse-drawn wagon rides through campus and much more.
